The Chicks In March

When we had had the chicks for about a week, making them about 10 or 11 days old, Dan moved them all to a container so he could clean out the brooder box.  They came inside for a few hours, along with some food and water and a heat light.  The container was actually an ice chest, so it would keep the heat in better.

The chicks thought the food dish was a nice place to sleep!
So Dan rigged up a little temporary feeder so the rest of them could eat.

A couple of weeks later, the chicks got to check out the rest of the chicken coop!

So much room for them to run around.
