New Year's in Victoria, Part 2

Anne off-trail.

Anthony got an assist on the pull-up bar.

At the top of a steep hill.

Up the snowy stairs.

A stop for snow angels...

...and sword fights.

Taking a break.

Cross Fit station at the entrance.

Go Dominic!

Anthony made it all the way around.

On the way back home, we stopped at the famous Cozy Inn in Salina for freshly-made-while-we-waited Cozy Burgers.

It is a very small place (only 6 stools), so luckily no one else was there at the same time.  A fun end to our trip!

New Year's in Victoria, Part 1

Christmas with Grandma.

Catherine

Anne, Anthony, and Grandma

Grandma got a present, too!

Dominic and his godfather.

New Year's Eve party.  Cheers!

Picture inside St. Fidelis Basilica after Mass on New Year's Day.

The outdoor Nativity.

Anthony and his godmother.

Off to the Sand Plum Nature Trail that afternoon.

Uncle Chuck pointed out different animal tracks in the snow.

Crossing over one of the bridges.

Hiking through the snow, twin steeples in the background.

At one of the Cross Fit stations, Joseph did a log run.

Anne and Dominic carried logs, too.

Catherine's turn. Anthony, with red cheeks, is in the raccoon hat.

Daddy can't let the kids show him up!

The climbing rope was temporarily turned into a swing.

A very short video of Anthony on the "swing:"

Christmas at New Year's

We drove up to visit my side of the family on New Year's Eve for the family get-together on New Year's Day.  All of my siblings and their families were there except for Fr. Brian, who was deployed in the Middle East at the time.  We had a great time visiting everyone.
Grandma, Emily, and Anne.  See all the snowflakes on the windows?  Anne and Catherine showed the girls how to make those, so it was a new craze!

Catherine and Elizabeth.

Here's what the boy cousins liked to do.

The littler cousins just love Anne.

She had a captive audience at story time.

The kids ate first.  Here was the main table.

Baby Isaac in the high chair and the little girls' table.

Grandma and Grandpa.

After dinner was gift-opening time.

There was a lot of this.

My goddaughter, Emily.

Sweet Anne.

Patrick, my godson.

After all that hard work, the kids were thirsty!  Grandma gave them a special treat of pop.

Celebrating The New Year!

On New Year's Eve, we celebrated with some toasting!  With sparkling grape juice, of course.

Yes, it is glass.  No, he did not break it.

Joseph was ready to say Cheers!

The girls say goodbye to 2012.

On New Year's Day, we had some new snow to play in:
Anthony got a ride out to the hill.

Daddy got Anthony started.

Whee!

Catherine liked to eat some snow.

Anthony and Anne get ready to fly down the hill.

Cloudy, our long-suffering cat.

Joseph

Anne and her little snowman.

Daddy hooked up the sled to the lawnmower.

Joseph and Dominic got the first ride.

Then Mommy got a mess!
