Louis John

With sorrow, we announce the birth and death of our youngest child, who was born too soon this past Monday, August 25th.  I felt that he was a boy, so we have named him Louis John.  Louis is for St. Louis IX of France, upon whose feast day he was born.  John is for the feast day of the death of St. John the Baptist, which was this past Friday.  We look forward to the day when we will get to meet him in heaven.

Late June

Anthony enjoyed an ice cream sundae.

Anne with her giant ice cream cone.

Joseph with a crazy picture.

A good picture!

The twins.

At the end of June, two friends and their children came over to our house.  3 moms, 13 children!  I got to see my friend's new baby for the first time.
Trinity watched Anne holding Baby Cecilia.

Zoo in June

In the middle of June, we met some friends at the zoo.  We had a great day!
All the kids "needed" maps.

Paused for a picture.

They checked out the grizzly bear.

Climbing time.

More fun.

So many kids, you almost can't see the tiger statue!

Speaking of tigers...

Fun on the playground.

When we were stopped near the lions, the kids all kept coming to get all the snacks from the moms.  When we looked to see what they were doing, we found they had set up a store.  Very creative, but we had to stop the game when other kids not in our group began to line up, too!
"I'll have three crackers and a handful of peanuts, please."

Early June

Some of our wonderful snow peas harvest this year.

Catherine and Anthony played happily in the sandbox.

Anthony's tunnel.

When Daddy and the other kids were gone to Victoria, we went to Burger King for a fun treat.

My attempt at making mint jelly once again flopped, only this time it was way too jelled, so we ate it almost like taffy.  It was actually pretty good.

Ice cream at Braums.

Joseph lost his first tooth.  You can see the new tooth was already almost all of the way in.

Catherine got new glasses.
