Every morning for a few weeks, the first thing Anthony would do when he got out to the kitchen was open a certain drawer where I keep onions, among other things, and get out "his" onion. He gradually got all of the peel off and he would often have some yucky onion breath. He loved to carry it around and roll it on the floor. If it wasn't in the drawer, he would look all over until he found it. It was the funniest thing. It literally was his favorite toy for a while. Finally, however, I got tired of onion peels and onion breath, so his onion disappeared. And no, I did not use it to cook with. It was beyond redemption.
