Weekend In Victoria

The weekend before last we made our first trip to Victoria, KS, where Dan's mom lives, since Anthony was born.  Dan's oldest niece got married at St. Fidelis Church, a.k.a. The Cathedral of the Plains.  Catherine got to help bring up the offertory gifts and she did a great job!

When the bride and groom came out of the church, everyone threw rose petals and it made a lovely picture.

After the wedding, we went to the reception, where the kids entertained themselves(and us) until it was time to eat.

Joseph shows off his new goose egg and bruises, acquired during the above-mentioned entertaining of self.

Anthony got to meet his godmother, who was also mother of the bride.

Anne was excited to see the starting of the dance.  We all joined in the Grand March and the kids were thrilled.

Poor Anthony was a bit overwhelmed and a lot tired by the time this picture was taken.

Trouble #1 and Trouble #2.  Joseph and his cousin, Aloysius, sport coordinating bumps and bruises on their faces.  Luckily no dishes and/or glassware were broken during our time there.  Fancy receptions and 2-3 year old boys do not go together very well.:)

The next day, it was time for more playing with cousins.

Wild turkeys with St. Fidelis in the background.

Checking out the farm equipment.

More exploring.

And a visit to Grandpa's grave at the Victoria Cemetary on the way out of town.
