Fun At The Zoo

Anne sitting on the "horse," taking notes.

The peacock showing off for us.

A bat hanging from a tree in the jungle.

The "cuddly" grizzly bear.

All the kids piling onto the tiger statue.

I'm glad there is very strong glass here!

Catherine taking notes about the animals she sees.

Anthony making the acquaintance of the gorilla.

These pictures were from a few weeks ago.  We had a great time at the zoo, at least until the boys started fighting and wrestling on the ground.  Of course we were all the way across the zoo from the entrance, so the "We're leaving right now!" lost some of its effect.  Ah!  These are the times that keep a mother humble.

I love the 7 yr. old taking notes! So cute!

And wouldn't it be humbling to make a list of all the moments that leave us humbled? Yikes. :)

Hi Karen!

We've been listening to the Magic Tree House books on tape, so that is where she got the idea. I was excited about her being inspired to write things, because previously she was mostly just wanting to read and not write.

Oh, I don't even want to think about how long that list would be. Even if I didn't have kids, there would be plenty on it!
